Team Fortress 2 is a multiplayer FPS released on October 10th, 2007 by Valve Corporation. TF2 is the sequel to the Quake mod, Team Fortress (1996) and its remake, Team Fortress Classic (1999). John Cook and Robin Walker led development of TF2, as well as the original Team Fortress mod.

Voiced by Nathan Vetterlein, Scout is snarky, pompous and has an "in-your-face" attitude.

From Midwest USA, Soldier is a sterotype of American culture. Voiced by Rick May, Soldier is crazed, unrelenting, loving of his country, and often rude or violent to those who are not American. Despite being rejected from the US military, Soldier portrays himself as a, well, US soldier.

Pyro

Other: Wears an asbestos lined suit that nullifies other Pyro's afterburn and almost all other fire related weapons, gender and species are unkown and intentionally kept vague.
Of unknown origins, Pyro has a passion for all things related to fire. Voiced by Dennis Bateman, Pyro sees the world through "Pyrovision", imagining himself in a rainbow fantasyland dubbed "Pyroland".

Demoman

Other: Real name Tavish Finnegan Degroot, his secondary weapon can be replaced with a shield, which when paired with a boots primary and sword melee creates the sub-class Demoknight.
From Ullapool, Scotland, and voiced by Gary Schwartz, Demoman is an black, Scottish, alcoholic cyclops and demolitions expert. At six years old, his plan to kill the Loch Ness Monster had killed his adoptive parents, leaving him an orphan. As he grew older and his skills grew, his birth parents came back for him, informing him that his abandonment is a tradition for the Highland Demolition Men.

Heavy

Other: Also known as The Heavy Weapons Guy, real name is Misha or Mikhail, can eat, drop, and give comrades sanviches, can and will take on a bear in a fight.
Hailing from Dzhugdzhur Mountains, Khabarovsk Krai, and voiced by Gary Schwartz, the Heavy speaks simply and moves at a snails pace, but he isn't dumb. Boasting a PHD in Russian Literature, Heavy is also shown to be a family man and helps provide for his mother and 3 sisters in the Siberian moutains.

Engineer

Medic

From Stuttgart, Germany, and voiced by Robin Atkins Downes, Medic is the stereotype of an "insane German doctor". Blatantly disregarding the Hippocratic Oath or any kind of medical ethics, Medic often uses his teammates as walking experiments and treats healing as an afterthought to his own morbid curiosity. Despite previously having a medical license, he lost it after stealing a mans skeleton, revealed in Meet The Medic. Medic also takes kindly to his doves, notably Archimedes.

Sniper

Other: Real name is Mun-dee(Mick) Mundy.
Hailing from the sunken city of New Zealand, raised in the Australian Outback, and voiced by John Patrick Lowrie, the Sniper is described as a half rugged outdoorsman and half alien observer. His biological father, Bil-Bel, convinced the New Zealand government they needed to sink their country down into the ocean. When this did not work, however, his father said that they needed to go into space, which the New Zealand government did not take kindly to. Bil-Bel went on to go work on his own rocket, which would hopefully propel him into space. However, during an argument between his parents, a baby Sniper crawled into the rocket, causing him to blast off into the sky and create a hole in the dome around New Zealand. Instead of space however, the rocket took Sniper to the property of Mr. and Mrs. Mundy.

Spy
